Are your products oil-free?

We’ve been mindful to formulate some of our most popular face products (like our Mineral SPF 70 Face Sunscreen Lotion) without ingredients like essential oils, vegetable oils, or other natural oils.

In the past, the term “oil-free” has often been used to describe a product that is free of ingredients containing the word “oil.” However, in recent years, some companies have started only calling products “oil free” if they also don’t include any oil-soluble materials (or anything that’s not soluble in water), such as silicones or esters. To be as transparent as possible, we use this second definition that goes deeper than just the exclusion of ingredients with “oil” in their name.

That said, our products are tested to be non-comedogenic, meaning they are formulated so they don’t clog pores.
