Will your sunscreens prevent tanning?

Sunscreen does not prevent tanning but will help reduce UV exposure.

All Bare Republic Sunscreens have been tested to meet FDA requirements and pass broad-spectrum testing to help defend against UVA and UVB rays to prevent sunburn and skin aging. While wearing sunscreen helps reduce UV exposure, there is no testing to determine a sunscreen's ability to prevent tanning. Even the very high SPFs cannot block 100% of the rays, which is why you will see some tanning even with good sun protection if you are out too long or too frequently. Extra precautions such as reducing exposure, limiting time in the sun, and wearing protective clothing, hats, and sunglasses help.
